Collection and storage of personal data as well as type and purpose of their use

Access data/logfiles

When you visit our website https://www.schmidtzkatze.eu and each time you download a file from our website, the browser on your device automatically sends information about this process to the server on our website. This information is temporarily stored and processed by the website operator in a so-called logfile. Before storage, each data record is anonymized by changing the IP address.

The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 letter f (legitimate interest) of the DSGVO. Our legitimate interest follows from the aforementioned purposes for data collection.

Cookies

When individual pages of our website are visited, so-called temporary cookies are used to facilitate navigation. These are small text files that are stored on your end device using the browser of your device. They do not cause any damage and are used to make the Internet offering as a whole more user-friendly and effective. These so-called session cookies do not contain any personal data. They store a session ID, with which various requests from your browser can be assigned to the joint session. This allows your computer to be recognized when you return to our website. Vimeo-Plugins

We use the service of Vimeo on our website for the integration of videos. Vimeo is operated by Vimeo, LLC with headquarters at 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011. On some of our web pages, we use plugins from the provider Vimeo. When you call up the web pages of our website that are provided with such a plugin, a connection is established to the servers of Vimeo and the plugin is displayed. In doing so, it is transmitted to the Vimeo server which page of our website you have accessed. By integrating the Vimeo player, our website is improved and the attractiveness is increased, therefore, we have a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO in the integration of Vimeo plugins on our website. Our website uses functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics by Google Inc. („Google“), 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. The statistics obtained allow us to improve our offer and make it more interesting for you as a user. Our website uses plugins of the YouTube website operated by Google. The operator of the pages is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit one of our web pages equipped with a YouTube plugin, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. This tells the YouTube server which of our pages you have visited. In the event that you contact us via the contact options offered on our website, your contact information (e.g. first and last name, title, address, phone number, e-mail text, subject context of the request) will be stored by us so that we can use it to process and respond to your request. The user alone decides on the type and scope of the information disclosed beyond the e-mail address.

Without your consent, this data will not be used for other purposes or passed on to third parties. Your personal data will be deleted after the request has been processed, provided that there are no legal obligations to retain data.

Passing on of personal data

the disclosure pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 f DSGVO is necessary to assert, exercise or defend legal claims and there is no reason to assume that you have an overriding interest worthy of protection in not disclosing your data,

in the event that a legal obligation exists for the transfer pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. c DSGVO, and

this is permitted by law and is required by Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 b DSGVO for the handling of employment and/or contractual relationships with you.

Furthermore, we refer to the above-described transmission of information in the course of the use of cookies.

Storage period / data deletion

Personal data will be deleted as soon as the storage is no longer necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless legal provisions require a longer storage.

The personal data collected by Storycat using the contact form will be deleted as soon as they are no longer required to fulfill the purpose of the processing, i.e. regularly when the e-mail request has been finally processed.

Rights of the data subject

As aggrieved party, i.e. as the person whose personal data is collected, you have certain rights pursuant to Art. 7, 15-21 DSGVO. This includes in particular the following rights:

the right to data portability of personal data under the conditions of Art. 20 DSGVO

the right to revoke your consent to us at any time or to object to the processing of your personal data at any time if your personal data are processed on the basis of legitimate interests in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f DSGVO, and

the right to complain to a supervisory authority pursuant to Art. 77 DSGVO. In general, you can contact the supervisory authority at your usual place of residence or workplace or at our company’s headquarters.
